Yukon Provincial Immigration Program
1. Business Nominee Program
Under business category of Yukon’s immigration program, a foreign entrepreneur can apply for permanent immigration visa if following eligibility criteria is satisfied:
• Must have at least five (5) years of business management experience managing a similar business as proposed for Yukon, either as an owner or a senior management executive.
• Must have a net worth of at least CDN$250,000 that must include liquid assets of CDN$150,000.
• Must have ample awareness of Yukon’s business and social environment that was gained during a prior visit to Yukon during which the applicant must have met Yukon’s immigration officer.
• Must have English language proficiency sufficient to successfully operate the proposed business in Yukon.
2. Skilled Worker/Critical Impact Program
The Critical Impact Worker Program and the Skilled Worker Program have been developed to assist Yukon’s public or private employers to select and facilitate the issuance of permanent immigration visa to qualified foreign workers to fill the job openings that cannot be filled by Canadians.
